Dominic Hennig is the Director of Broadcasting & Communications for the Flint Firebirds in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In his eighth season in the hockey communications & PR industry, Hennig played a significant role in jump-starting the Firebirds' organization, which now averages more than 3,000 fans per home game. He has also been a key team member in recording six consecutive years of increased attendance, beginning with Ferris State University's NCAA Division I Hockey program in 2010.

Before working with the Firebirds, Hennig was the radio and television play-by-play broadcaster for Ferris State University in West Michigan. Along with his play-by-play duties, Hennig was a full-time salaried employee at the University as the Assistant Director for Broadcast, Communications and Multimedia.

To this day, Hennig is also frequently heard internationally on SiriusXM's NHL Network as the college hockey & OHL Insider.

In addition, Dominic broadcasted the Frozen Four NCAA Division I National Championship game in 2012, has been featured on ESPN "SportsCenter's Top 10," and hosts a weekly call-in talk radio show.

​Previously, Hennig has been the radio play-by-play voice for the professional A level Detroit Dragons in the All America Hockey League (AAHL) and the Junior A Santa Fe Roadrunners in the North American Hockey League (NAHL).

His academic background includes education in business, marketing, public relations, and sports communications. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Relations with a Minor in Sports Communications degree from Ferris State University. He is currently in the process of studying to become a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
